Currently, Agilefant provides streamlined and intuitive support for backlog management of individual iterative projects, and is being piloted by several Finnish software companies. The product vision for this project goes as follows:
In April 2008, Agilefant is the best open source tool available for the backlog-wise management of a (partly iterative & incremental) software development portfolio. Agilefant is conceptually more adept and flexible than any of the respective commercially available tools, and ready for further development. The companies and organizations that are piloting Agilefant are very satisfied with the results and and consider 'Maranello' a significant improvement over 'Enzo' (i.e. the current version).
