I want to prioritize my backlog stories
so that the team will be able to pick the highest business value stories in the iteration planning
I try the latest Agilefant 2 alpha release. I really like the new look and feel and the stories management. However, a key functionality to manage the backlog in the Scrum process is to be able to prioritize it. There's two concepts I'm using in the 1.6.2 version to achieved it. First, I use theme to assign a business value (in general, the business value is mostly constant through time), then in backlog revision with the product owner (at least once every sprint/iteration), I review the tasks (stories) to reflect his current priorities. Then in the sprint planning session, we select the top stories for the next sprint. Having an healthy and prioritize backlog is one of the base of Scrum.

We agree that the ability to prioritize the release backlog is of utmost importance in Scrum process. Currently, there are some technical issues preventing us to implement this feature. But rest assured, it will be included in the final release and probably already in the beta phase.
